Third Party Relationships with CommunicatorBase.

Providers

These third parties are all bound by confidentiality agreements that protect the privacy of the CommunicatorBase Users, must utilize information solely for the purpose of providing services on behalf of CommunicatorBase and are bound to keep any personally identifiable information they receive secure. CommunicatorBase does not share, sell, rent or trade personally identifiable information with third parties for their promotional purposes.

Links

Please be aware that if you link to another third-party web site, that site is not subject to CommunicatorBase's Privacy Policy, and CommunicatorBase has no control over the use of information disclosed on such sites. CommunicatorBase is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such other sites. CommunicatorBase encourages its Users to be aware when they leave the Site and suggests that Users read the privacy policies of each site visited.

Forwarding

If you choose to “forward a friend” information from our Site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will then send your friend a one-time email that contains a link to our Site. CommunicatorBase and our third party service providers do not store the personally identifiable “forward a friend” information.

Tracking Technology

CommunicatorBase third party providers use cookie technology to help personalize your online experience. “Cookies” allow our third party providers to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. You have the ability to accept or decline Cookies. The use of cookies by our service providers is covered by our privacy policy. We do not have access or control over these cookies.

Our third party service providers may employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.

We use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

As is true of most Web sites, we use a third party tracking-utility partner to gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

Re-Targeted Advertising

Re-Targeted advertising uses information collected on an individual's web browsing behavior such as the pages they have visited or the searches they have made. This information is then used to display ads. The information collected is only linked to an anonymous cookie ID (alphanumeric number); it does not include any information that could be linked back to a particular person, such as their name, address or credit card number. The information used for targeted advertising either comes from CommunicatorBase or through third party website publishers. If you would like to opt out of re-targeted advertising from CommunicatorBase that occurs when visiting our third party advertising publishers, please click here. Please note this does not opt you out of being served advertising. You will continue to receive generic ads.

Bulletin Boards/Chat Rooms

If you use a bulletin board, chat room, forum, or other chat tool on this Site, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. CommunicatorBase is not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums. You are also responsible for using these forums in a manner consistent with the Terms of Use, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy or other terms and conditions set forth on the relevant forum site. All forums are hosted by a third party service provider of CommunicatorBase. To request removal of your personally identifiable information from our blog or community forum, contact us at info@communicatorbase.com.
